Anniversary Date

Paul and I celebrated our Four Year Anniversary yesterday! We decided to go on a little adventure and go to places we had never been before. We first made a stop at The Little Shoppe of Games. They had the biggest selections of board games that Paul loves that we have ever seen!

We then went to Ingrid's Kitchen, German Restaurant and Bakery! I think it is the best food I have had at a restaurant! I ordered Wiener Schnitzel dinner, it came with sauerkraut, red cabbage, and German potato salad, and bread. Paul had Bratwurst and Schnitzel with the same sizes. I had a eclair that was amazing! Paul had a cannoli. We took home a delicious Black Forest Cake.

We went to find the B&B Windsor Theater. Before our movie we drove around 23rd street and saw what was near by. We saw an interesting used book store and costume shop. We decided to see Zookeeper! It was very funny! We were two of four people in the theater. It was a neat theater it reminded me of what it might have been like to go to the theater back in the 50s.
Paul surprised me this morning with Breakfast in Bed. He served me chocolate cake from the German Bakery.

Life after NO HOMEWORK

Well, I thought it would be calmer after finishing the Master's, but I must say I think I have been just about as busy. We have enjoyed getting together with Paul's parents this past weekend. We had a great time seeing Captain America and watching VBS and vacation videos. Cynthia made us a delicious dinner and allowed me to relax and finish reading A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers! Thanks Mom #2!
We also got to see Luke and his apartment on Monday. He has a really nice apartment. We ate a Eskimo Joe's with him and Cynthia.
We had an evening to ourselves Monday night and watched some CSI! Thank you Kamry for the videos. On Monday, Caleb and Megan came to visit! We has a great time catching up, eating great food (Yay Carbonara!) We played Settler's of Catan, Harry Potter Clue, and Star Wars Trouble! Megan and I had a great time going Thrift Store and Merrifield's! We also went to get our nails done and shopped at Staples today!
Megan game me a great idea of doing Dr. Seuss theme in the Library. I am planning on using  that theme on the Everybody reader section of the walls. Still looking for some themes for the older age part of the library so if anyone has an idea feel free to give me a comment!
I am looking forward to eating ice cream with Kamry and  lunch with some of the Enid Elementary Librarians tomorrow! Exciting and blessed time in both of our lives!!

Crazy Summer Events

Well, the summer has been a run and a rush for us. With a mix of work and fun.The end of May started with the end of Megan’s third year of teaching Pre-K. It also began Megan’s trek of taking a certification test and doing summer classes in her graduate school. She took a three day class in May. Paul finished up taking his two intersession graduate classes in May.
We then went on a much needed trip to Orlando, FL with Paul’s Family. We experienced the magic of Disney World and Universal Studios. Megan’s favorite was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Islands of Adventure.   Paul’s favorite thing we did was going on the Jurassic Park ride also in Islands of Adventure.
We had a week half for Megan to catch up on her summer class work and Paul to work on camp lessons, Bible Classes, and sermons. We then went off to church camp where we both were councilors and taught a SIG (Special Interest Group) on Professional Ministry. Well, Paul did most of the teaching and I helped. Paul taught a Bible class on knowing God. We meet some great new friends and enjoyed seeing some of the kids from years past.
We then came home and Megan is continuing to work on school and VBS (Vacation Bible School) preparation has begun. We have enjoyed going to spend some time with some family on the fourth of July. We have also been excited to have my sister Brenda and her boyfriend come visit this past weekend. We also enjoyed having our dear friend Kamry come and visit.
This week’s assignments include VBS lesson preparation and decoration. Megan will continue on graduate school assignments. Paul will do his regular ministry work besides VBS.
For fun, we are watching the fifth and sixth Harry Potter movies in preparation for the last one coming out this week. We are going to review seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 starting at nine and then Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 at midnight! We are very excited!
We hope this is a productive week. Hopefully this gives some insight to this summer’s crazy events.
